Sr. IT Project Manager (Data Analytics)

Location: Remote from Virginia, United States; must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from planning and ideation through deployment and implementation.
• Lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, data engineers, developers, and functional staff.
• Facilitate working groups and maintain relationships with senior federal stakeholders, including DHS OCIO representatives.
• Resolve blockers and align teams around project goals, technical requirements, schedules, resources, risks, and priorities.
• Maintain project roadmaps, prepare status reviews, and support monthly contract deliverables.
• Manage budget forecasts, ROM estimates, cost tracking, and mentoring of junior project team members.

Requirements

• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience managing IT or technology projects.
• Experience managing technical and strategy teams in data science, data analytics, and data management.
• Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and other project management methodologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, team management, presentation, and SDLC knowledge, with experience supporting federal agencies.

Nice to have

• Federal consulting or professional services experience, especially supporting DHS.
• Experience leading IT modernization or Agile development projects.
• PMP or another relevant industry certification.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Collibra, or OpenMetaData.
• Familiarity with financial analysis, budget tracking, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and highly scalable platforms.
