Audit Intern – Summer 2027

Location: Lake Forest, IL, United States; hybrid work with occasional onsite attendance and travel to operational sites

Salary: $25–$30 per hour, depending on year in school

What you will do

• Support financial and risk-based audit engagements across business units.
• Conduct interviews, document reviews, audit procedures, and data analysis.
• Prepare accurate audit workpapers in line with professional standards and internal methodologies.
• Identify and document risks, audit findings, and actionable recommendations.
• Present audit results to management through written reports and oral briefings.
• Participate in audit fieldwork and travel to operational sites as needed.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college program majoring in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• Completion of freshman year and a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with audit clients and internal teams.
• Professional demeanor, maturity, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
