Assurance Intern - Winter 2028

Location: Austin, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required.

Salary: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Understand clients’ businesses, industries, accounting and control systems, values, and relevant GAAP and GAAS matters.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global audit approach and audit tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate client internal control structures.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements using prescribed formats.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours.
• Work toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree at an accredited university.
• Major in accounting.
• Travel to assigned client locations and access to reliable transportation are required.
• Entry-level applicants must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
