Assurance Intern (Accounting) - Winter 2027

Location: Denver Downtown, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Understand client businesses, industries, accounting systems, control systems, and applicable GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global audit approach and audit tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate client internal control structures.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements in prescribed formats.

Requirements

• Completion of at least 90 credit hours.
• Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree at an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
