Federal Tax Services Intern - Private Company - Summer 2027

Location: Rockford, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $32–$38 per hour

What you will do

• Support tax engagements across corporate, individual, pass-through entity, private client, nonprofit, and other specialty areas.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Review tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Work on multiple client assignments as part of an engagement team.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Major in accounting.
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
• Entry-level candidates requiring current or future immigration sponsorship are not eligible.
