Lead Data Informaticist (Databricks)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $117,600–$161,700 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and curated analytical data products in Databricks.
• Build reusable data models integrating pharmacy claims, membership, marketing, operational, financial, and other healthcare domains.
• Define metadata, lineage, data definitions, analytical grain, source relationships, business rules, KPI logic, and approved methodologies.
• Develop governed data environments that support reliable AI-assisted and self-service analytics, including Databricks Genie One.
• Evaluate AI-generated analytical answers, identify data and governance gaps, and create solutions involving new data, integrations, metadata, or business logic.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture guidance, design standards, peer review, mentoring, testing, deployment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology, quantitative, analytics, informatics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven or more years of experience in data analytics, informatics, business intelligence, data engineering, analytical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong SQL skills and experience developing complex analytical transformations, reusable data assets, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data modeling, data quality, reconciliation, testing, metadata, lineage, documentation, and analytical governance.
• Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, pharmacy, or other complex healthcare datasets.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and explain architecture, data limitations, and analytical implications to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Significant hands-on experience with Databricks, Databricks Genie One, or similar AI-assisted analytical tools.
• Experience with Python or another programming language used for data engineering, automation, testing, or advanced analytics.
• Experience with pharmacy or prescription claims, payer, PBM, Medicare, mail-order pharmacy, or related healthcare environments.
• Experience developing semantic layers, reusable measures, enterprise KPI definitions, data catalogs, lineage, governance, and access controls.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
