Lead Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid; requires working two days per week in an office in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hartford, or Manhattan, United States.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year, plus a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead data and analytics technology across multiple cross-functional teams and guide access to business data.
• Manage analytics use cases, data models, context layers, self-service capabilities, and AI-enabled data products.
• Establish innovation labs and evaluate emerging data and analytics tools, methodologies, and trends.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements, solution designs, infrastructure plans, and project estimates.
• Create training, learning, cross-skilling, and up-skilling programs while mentoring data specialists and engineering teams.
• Drive data quality, governance, documentation, development standards, code reviews, performance improvements, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, solution architecture, cloud platforms, data warehousing or lakehouse concepts, data modeling, and/or data engineering.
• Strong SQL, data modeling and warehousing experience, with expertise in self-service analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of DBT, SSIS, ETL, ELT, APIs, streaming, relational and non-relational data, JSON, XML, Python, R, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
• Experience with data governance, quality, lineage, catalogs, visualization, storytelling, AI applications, Agile methodologies, and strategic cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong insurance domain knowledge, communication, problem-solving, leadership, coaching, change management, and training skills.
