Data Visualization Engineer (Power BI)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust.

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Amazon QuickSight.
• Translate stakeholder reporting requirements into actionable data visualization solutions.
• Administer BI platforms, including user management, workspace configuration, data connections, monitoring, governance, and security.
• Perform ETL across multiple data sources and build data models and pipelines supporting dashboards and reports.
• Provide end-user support and training for reports and dashboards.
• Create documentation covering report specifications, user guides, data models, and administrative processes.

Requirements

• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust are required.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with Power BI, Tableau, and/or Amazon QuickSight.
• Strong SQL skills and experience using Power BI DAX and M.
• Experience building data models and pipelines for data visualization and working with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and/or Kanban, plus strong communication and interpersonal leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Python development skills.
• Professional services or federal consulting experience, preferably supporting DHS.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience developing pipelines with serverless tools.
• Certified Section 508 Trusted Tester credential.
