Senior Controls Engineer, Vehicle Integration (Autonomous Vehicles)

Salary: $193,930–$291,150 annual base pay, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop robust, production-grade control software according to ISO 26262 safety standards.
• Define vehicle and controls software requirements with OEM engineers and internal teams.
• Adapt the controls software stack to new vehicle platforms.
• Perform hands-on vehicle bring-up, controls tuning, testing, and debugging.
• Improve vehicle performance, quality, and drivability while integrating hirify.global Driver into new platforms.

Requirements

• MS in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, aerospace, robotics, or a closely related field, with a focus on controls.
• 3+ years of experience developing L2 or higher automated driving controls software and integrating it with vehicle platforms.
• Strong fundamentals in vehicle dynamics and controls, including theory, application, and validation.
• Experience implementing classical and modern control methods.
• Strong embedded C and C++ programming skills.
• Hands-on controls development experience for L2+ or higher automated driving systems, with effective collaboration and communication skills.

• L4 automated driving system development experience.
• High-fidelity vehicle dynamics modeling experience.
• Experience building learning-based ML controllers.
• Powertrain or chassis controls experience.
