Intelligence Analyst SME 1 (Threat Intelligence)

Location: Vienna, Virginia, United States; work is performed in the Vienna, VA office. Requires a 24/7/365 operational shift schedule.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to assess threat screening effectiveness and complex management systems.
• Conduct high-level studies using threat, screening operations, intelligence community databases, and analytical techniques.
• Lead unit teams, organize analytical efforts, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality and accuracy.
• Identify system and process gaps and support strategic planning and executive decision-making.
• Present findings and recommendations through reports, briefings, and visual data products.
• Provide expert guidance on organizational assessments, threat and vulnerability analysis, and complex operational challenges.

Requirements

• Expertise in threat intelligence analysis, threat screening, and analytical methods.
• Ability to lead teams, train and mentor staff, and provide quality assurance.
• Knowledge of administrative laws, policies, regulations, intelligence community databases, and interagency relationships.
• Ability to communicate findings and advise senior leadership on sensitive issues.
• Ability to work a 24/7/365 operational shift schedule in the Vienna, VA office.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal law enforcement, intelligence community, or national security programs.
• Experience in shift-based or operational mission environments.
• Proficiency querying and navigating complex databases.
• Pattern and trend recognition, interagency coordination, and knowledge of terrorist organizations and global networks.
• Excellent communication skills in high-pressure environments.
