Technical Trainer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Plainview, New York, United States; approximately 25% travel required for customer training and manufacturing skill building.

Salary: $78,362–$104,483 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, schedule, and deliver classroom, laboratory, remote, and computer-based training.
• Train internal Field Service Engineers and customer operators and maintenance personnel on safe, accurate, and consistent procedure execution.
• Develop training packages covering system overviews, subsystems, major assemblies, system operations, and software operations.
• Use the Learning Management System to deliver courses, schedule sessions, record attendance, and track completion.
• Convert existing materials into computer-based training modules with audio and multimedia content.
• Review and validate technical procedures for safety, clarity, completeness, and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a degree from an Engineering and Applied Technology School plus five years of Technical Support or Field Service experience is preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Experience in sustaining or technical support within semiconductor or technical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Industry experience installing, sustaining, troubleshooting, or supporting ion beam or related equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, fluid delivery, and control system concepts.
• Ability to explain equipment hazards, safe work practices, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex machinery functions into clear practical instruction.
