Senior Manager, Data & Analytics (AI)

Location: Sacramento, CA, United States. Primarily a sedentary office position with physical and office/site presence requirements.

Annual base salary: $166,610.90–$222,148. The position may also be eligible for bonuses and commissions.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop teams of data analysts, engineers, data scientists, and developers.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex data and analytics projects.
• Translate business priorities into actionable analytics initiatives and communicate outcomes to senior leadership.
• Guide architecture decisions and contribute hands-on to data platforms, automation, APIs, and cloud workloads.
• Establish data governance, quality, privacy, security, and compliance practices.
• Set performance metrics, allocate resources, and improve processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, including 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Advanced Python development, quantitative analysis, data manipulation, and business application skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS ECS, ECR, S3, IAM, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Strong experience with Snowflake administration and advanced features, multi-repository dbt projects, dbt Cloud, CDC, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD.
• Ability to translate business needs into data strategies, enforce governance and compliance policies, and communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• AWS, data analytics, data management, or project management certifications.
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, vector databases, text embeddings, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude/OpenAI APIs.
