Staff Software Engineer, Quality Infrastructure (AI)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must reside in and work from Arizona, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin.

Salary: $195,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity stock options.

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure development for CI/CD, ephemeral environments, automated testing, and safe software delivery.
• Build AI-assisted workflows that generate test suites, scenarios, and verification artifacts with appropriate engineering oversight and safeguards.
• Establish cross-functional benchmarks for feature-complete test coverage and evaluate testing practices.
• Measure CI duration, flake rate, and critical-journey coverage while removing major delivery bottlenecks.
• Provide technical leadership across the platform and product teams, including written proposals and decision records.
• Participate in on-call and incident response for pipeline and test infrastructure, turning failures into lasting fixes.

Requirements

• Experienced in developer infrastructure, test automation, or platform engineering, with technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Terraform, Docker or Kubernetes, and Postgres, with experience in Rails applications and React or mobile clients.
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines and organization-wide unit and end-to-end test coverage.
• Deep experience with Playwright or an equivalent tool, including automated testing and CI for web, iOS, and Android.
• Production experience with coding agents and LLM tooling for test generation or verification.
• Ability to mentor engineers, explain technical trade-offs in writing, and work effectively in a remote asynchronous environment.
