Jr Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid remote/onsite, with a minimum of three business days onsite at the Fairfax, Virginia corporate office and/or Springfield, Virginia customer site; US citizenship required.

Salary: $104,764–$125,717 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate and track datasets supporting AI efforts with customers, vendors, software engineers, architects, and internal teams.
• Extract, transform, and standardize text, JSON, geospatial, and other datasets for machine learning development environments.
• Support automated data ingestion processes and the integration of machine learning algorithms for testing and operational deployment.
• Assist with designing and developing data services and pipelines.
• Coordinate data requirements with the Project Manager and Data Team and act as a project data advocate.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a multidisciplinary team supporting a Department of Defense pathfinder program.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, finance, statistics, information management, computer science, engineering, economics, or an equivalent field.
• 0–2+ years of experience in data science, computer science, or computer engineering; relevant coursework may substitute for experience.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and transforming and manipulating datasets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Active Secret clearance.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Linux.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with Department of Defense organizations or performers.
