Annual base salary: $109,300–$180,200

What you will do

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions supporting General Liability and CMP insurance pricing.
• Design, maintain, and test data pipelines, data movement, transformation code, and related components.
• Analyze data sources and recommend datasets for analytical processes.
• Apply data governance, security, quality, cleansing, and transformation practices.
• Investigate and resolve data and system defects and incidents of moderate complexity.
• Collaborate with actuarial, data science, engineering, product, and business stakeholders while supporting end users of data products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least six years of related experience, including two additional years of software or data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another cloud platform, Python, SQL, data engineering concepts, and data pipelines.
• Experience with data governance, data security, data quality, APIs, microservices, test automation, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and system analysis skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and proactively driving improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience in or exposure to the insurance industry, or strong interest in learning the domain.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tools such as Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
