What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain tools for offloading, storing, manipulating, and accessing robot data.
• Architect and manage storage and compute resources across on-premise and cloud environments at massive scale.
• Optimize data transmission and storage across the full pipeline, from recording through neural network training.
• Provide production support for AI data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to support new data workflows.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and at least 4 years of full-time professional experience building reliable backend systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience with Linux and command-line tools.
• Professional experience with Python.
• Experience using and managing data stores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, or Redis.
• Role location: San Jose, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience managing AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure.
• Experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools such as SLURM, Kubernetes, or LSF.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience building data annotation and dataset management tools.
