IT Support Analyst III (OT/Power Infrastructure)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama, United States; on-site. Travel to job sites, field offices, and customer locations is required as needed.

What you will do

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, network, connectivity, and end-user technology issues across corporate and field locations.
• Administer Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, and identity management solutions.
• Maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, remote connectivity, and infrastructure supporting offices, substations, and project sites.
• Support and troubleshoot SCADA, industrial control systems, and other operational technology environments used in power infrastructure projects.
• Lead patching, software deployment, operating system upgrades, backup validation, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Perform root cause analysis, maintain technical documentation, manage IT assets and vendors, coordinate field deployments, and mentor junior support staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5–8 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related technical role.
• Advanced experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, and user access management.
• Advanced networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response, backups, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to prioritize work independently, collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders, and travel periodically for site visits and project activities.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial, utility, power generation, renewable energy, or construction environments.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA, OT, ICS, electrical utility infrastructure, or NERC CIP compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, or ITIL Foundation.
• Experience leading technical projects, infrastructure upgrades, or enterprise technology implementations.
