Accounting Data & Technology Manager (SAP S/4HANA)

What you will do

• Act as the accounting team's SAP S/4HANA FICO subject matter expert during implementation.
• Challenge SAP design and configuration decisions, replacing manual workarounds with native workflows, automated postings, analytics, and Fiori applications.
• Own accounting requirements, testing, configuration sign-off, data migration, chart of accounts design, and master data governance.
• Lead the post-go-live SAP continuous improvement roadmap, streamlining close processes and addressing system, data quality, and process issues.
• Design governance and integration architecture for SAP accounting data flowing into the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Identify AI and automation use cases including journal-entry anomaly detection, predictive accruals, automated reconciliation matching, and natural-language reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting systems, ERP administration, or finance technology.
• Deep hands-on SAP S/4HANA FICO experience across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial close and consolidation.
• Experience participating in or leading a full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation on the business or functional side.
• Strong knowledge of accounting close processes, U.S. GAAP, SAP master data governance, and chart of accounts design.
• Experience with SOX controls, access management, segregation of duties, and configuration documentation.
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into SAP configuration and communicate design trade-offs to senior finance leadership.

Nice to have

• SAP S/4HANA certification, CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting certification.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP, NetSuite, Databricks, or other data platforms.
• Experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company or in public accounting.
