Sr. IT Project Manager (Data Analytics)

Location: Remote from the United States; Virginia specified

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from planning and ideation through deployment and implementation.
• Lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, data engineers, developers, and functional staff supporting a federal data analytics and business intelligence platform.
• Facilitate weekly working group meetings and maintain strong relationships with senior Federal stakeholders.
• Resolve blockers and align teams around project goals, technical requirements, schedules, resources, risks, and priorities.
• Maintain project roadmaps and prepare status updates, reviews, and monthly contract deliverables.
• Manage budget forecasts, ROM estimates, cost tracking, and mentoring for junior project team members.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience managing IT or technology projects.
• Experience managing technical and strategy teams in data science, data analytics, and data management.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SDLC, stakeholder communication, leadership, and presentation.

Nice to have

• Federal agency or professional services experience, especially with DHS.
• IT modernization leadership experience and PMP or another industry certification.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Collibra, OpenMetaData, Azure, or AWS.
• Experience leading Agile development teams and building highly scalable platforms, products, or services.
• Familiarity with financial analysis and budget tracking.
