Financial Due Diligence Senior Associate (Mergers & Acquisitions)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chicago, Dallas, or Houston, United States; in-person attendance is required at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site.

Salary: $121,440–$154,836 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Perform buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, including carve-outs, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Conduct financial due diligence across income statement and balance sheet areas, including operational data, net working capital, debt, and debt-like items.
• Identify key risks and business drivers, formulate questions, and propose basic financial adjustments.
• Prepare Quality of Earnings and other tailored transaction advisory reports covering normalized earnings, valuation assumptions, budgets, indebtedness, borrowing bases, and carve-out financial statements.
• Support proposals and business development calls with partners and senior managers.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and assess associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2–6 years of related experience in transaction advisory, consulting, accounting, or audit.
• Current knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC reporting, transaction advisory services, or mergers and acquisitions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.
• Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, mentoring, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed, with expected travel of up to 25%.

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification.
• Prior relevant consulting experience.
