Health and Social Care Practitioner (Alcohol Recovery)

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire, based at the Bransholme site

Salary: £28,557.79–£32,802.41 per year, pro rata if part time

What you will do

• Support service users from initial contact through assessment, recovery planning, treatment and onward referral.
• Provide harm-reduction support for drug- and alcohol-related issues and advocate for access to partnership services.
• Promote recovery, resilience, peer support, self-determination and social reintegration.
• Design and deliver structured group content and tailored workshops, including sessions on anger management, sleep and relationships.
• Manage group dynamics, participate in debriefs and evaluations, and identify concerns affecting service users.
• Maintain accurate records and outcome data while managing a varied caseload.

Requirements

• Experience working with substance misuse issues or in a similar field.
• Experience facilitating groups or pods and managing conflict or challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions, services and good practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication, IT, organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals, agencies and internal and external stakeholders.
• Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship and support for new visa applications or extensions are not available.
