Pharmacy Technician (Medical Cannabis)

Salary: £42,000–£45,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medicines in line with legal, operational, and safety standards.
• Own the end-to-end dispensing process and maintain accurate prescription records.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies before they become incidents.
• Mentor junior colleagues and strengthen a culture of accountability, safety, and quality.
• Keep current with professional development, best practices, and regulatory changes.
• Work with the wider pharmacy team to ensure patients receive the correct medicines on time.

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or an equivalent ACT qualification.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• Proven pharmacy experience with a strong record in accuracy checking.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and SOPs.
• High attention to detail, direct communication, accountability, and independent decision-making.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient outcomes and safety.
