Superintendent Pharmacist (Digital Health)

What you will do

• Own clinical governance, professional standards and regulatory compliance across the pharmacy.
• Lead Controlled Drugs governance, including storage, handling, dispensing, reconciliation and auditability.
• Provide professional and clinical leadership to a pharmacy workforce of more than 100 people.
• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Oversee pharmacy systems, processes and Standard Operating Procedures, improving safety, accuracy and efficiency.
• Shape pharmacy strategy and support expansion, new services, technology and automation.

Requirements

• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Experience as a Superintendent Pharmacist or in a senior pharmacy leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of GPhC standards, pharmacy legislation and MHRA regulations.
• Demonstrable experience managing Controlled Drugs governance, regulatory compliance, inspections and audits.
• Experience leading clinical teams in a high-volume or complex pharmacy environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, commercial awareness and risk-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in an online pharmacy, digital health or technology-led healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of medical cannabis or private healthcare.
• Experience supporting multi-site pharmacy operations or scaling pharmacy services.
• Experience with pharmacy technology, automation or systems implementation.
