Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $86,500–$158,100 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions for payment product platforms.
• Build, evaluate, fine-tune, integrate, and deploy generative AI components in enterprise applications.
• Develop APIs and integration patterns for payment applications, platforms, and services.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations and Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Client Support, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.
• Apply engineering practices focused on quality, security, performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
• Automate software development, testing, and deployment while reducing technical debt.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Expert-level skills in Java, Python, and/or NodeJS; C++ and C# are additional skills.
• Experience building generative AI applications, conversational AI, and RAG architectures, techniques, and libraries.
• Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with a focus on quality and scalability.
• Ability to collaborate across product, testing, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to work from the Foster City office at least 3 days per week and travel 5–10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Application security, SSDLC, and cryptography fundamentals.
• Knowledge of NLP, model compression, transfer learning, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, MLOps, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• React, Angular, Redis, concurrency, distributed systems, version control, and CI/CD experience.
