Structural BIM Technician (Revit)

Location: Onsite office-based position in Cheyenne, WY; Denver, CO; Rapid City, SD; or Sioux Falls, SD, USA.

Salary: $27 per hour, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Model wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures using BIM software.
• Produce plans, elevations, details, and other construction documentation.
• Use Revit, Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu to develop precise, coordinated designs.
• Visualize complex structures, identify spatial conflicts, and support coordination across disciplines.
• Curate and maintain BIM and CADD libraries, resources, and support files.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in engineering drafting, architectural drafting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency with BIM and CAD software, especially Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong visualization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual direction.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; the role requires business-related travel in a company or personal vehicle.
• Ability to work onsite at one of the listed U.S. locations.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, or other CAD/BIM software through education, internships, or previous work experience.
• Basic understanding of foundations, steel, concrete, masonry, and wood framing.
• Familiarity with construction documents, structural engineering concepts, Microsoft Office, or project and document management software.
