Sr. Quality Engineer (First Dollar)

Location: Home-based remote role in the United States; office locations and role locations may change. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: $87,100–$111,000 per year, with potential incentive and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead QA strategy, methodology, frameworks, processes, and execution across SaaS and on-premises products.
• Direct, coach, and develop QA testers and engineers while serving as the escalation point for quality and testing matters.
• Design, develop, review, and maintain automated UI, API, regression, performance, and functional tests.
• Integrate automated regression suites into nightly builds and monitor test results, defects, coverage, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business partners, and stakeholders on requirements, solution dependencies, release planning, and quality risks.
• Prepare test plans, estimates, test cases, release activities, defect analysis, and quality reports for agile projects.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience, including experience managing a QA team and leading testing efforts for software or product development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, test design, automation strategy, test execution, and software development life cycles.
• Hands-on experience with UI and API automation using tools such as Selenium, BrowserStack, Postman, JMeter, BlazeMeter, MABL, Python, and Pytest.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, CI tools, Jira, Confluence, Git, and related delivery processes.
• Practical experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude responsibly while applying engineering judgment and validating generated code.

Nice to have

• QA testing certifications such as CSTE, CSQA, or CAST.
• Experience with performance, load, security, data validation, complex API integrations, SaaS or PaaS platforms, SQL, scripting, XML, JavaScript, .NET, T-SQL, jQuery, or JSON.
