Technical SETA - STO

Location: Onsite in Arlington, Virginia, United States

Salary: $100,000–$230,000 per year, depending on overall experience. The position is contingent upon additional funding.

What you will do

• Provide onsite technical and programmatic support to DARPA's Strategic Technology Office.
• Support a DARPA program manager with project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, and program-funded test coordination.
• Coordinate with Department of Defense stakeholders to support technology transition.
• Coordinate meetings, assess performer technical progress, and project program outcomes.
• Ensure project management best practices are followed by performers, IV&V entities, and DARPA personnel.
• Develop point papers, slide decks, and other materials while researching ideas aligned with national security priorities.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new subjects quickly and gain insights into current and next-generation research topics.

• Experience leading research programs at the performer level in multidisciplinary fields.
• Experience managing programs through their full life cycles.
• Technical research, development, and engineering experience across diverse applied technical projects.
• Familiarity with the DARPA technical, programmatic, and contractual environment.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively in complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environments.
