MongoDB Engineer / Java Developer

Location: Remote within the United States. U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required; no sponsorship is available.

What you will do

• Design and implement MongoDB solutions for existing Java applications.
• Lead and support database migration and enterprise application modernization initiatives.
• Design MongoDB collections, document schemas, indexes, and aggregation pipelines.
• Develop and modify Java and Spring Boot applications integrated with MongoDB.
• Perform data migration, transformation, validation, and testing to maintain data integrity.
• Optimize queries and database performance, troubleshoot integration issues, and collaborate with architects and developers.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB database engineering and Java development.
• Experience with database migrations, enterprise application modernization, and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of MongoDB architecture, document modeling, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and query optimization.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, MongoDB Java drivers, or Spring Data MongoDB.
• Experience with data transformation, validation, database performance troubleshooting, and application integration.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder; no C2C, sponsorship, or third-party vendors.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases to MongoDB.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application modernization projects.
