Paralegal (Investment Management)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the office and one day per week from home. Other locations: Charlotte, North Carolina; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York, New York.

Base salary: $56,100–$98,600 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Support Columbia Threadneedle Investments registered investment companies under the direction of an attorney.
• Coordinate the preparation, updating, and filing of registration statement amendments, prospectuses, statements of additional information, supplements, and other disclosure documents.
• Solicit and coordinate input from product, marketing, fund administration, compliance, investment, outside counsel, and outside accounting teams.
• Provide legal and regulatory support for collective investment trusts, investment advisory activities, and Ameriprise entities and products.
• Support compliance with existing and new SEC regulations and corporate governance matters.
• Collaborate with lawyers, paralegals, and business teams within the General Counsel’s Organization.

Requirements

• Associate degree plus a paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply legal requirements for registered investment companies.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, writing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage several ongoing assignments and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must have valid United States work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
