Desktop Systems Specialist

Location: Regular on-site presence required at the Beaverton, Oregon campus; occasional travel to other hirify.global locations and after-hours or weekend support may be required.

Pay: $29.15–$38.27 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and background.

What you will do

• Provide advanced technical support for Windows desktops and laptops, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, VPN, MFA, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
• Diagnose hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and endpoint security issues for on-site and remote employees.
• Provision, deploy, maintain, refresh, troubleshoot, and retire endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and other management platforms.
• Administer user accounts, security groups, shared resources, and access permissions through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Support conference rooms, audiovisual systems, onboarding and offboarding, asset inventories, documentation, and IT service records.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and operations teams on deployments, upgrades, security remediation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, plus at least 2 years of related experience; equivalent experience is acceptable.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and enterprise desktop environments.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint provisioning, ITSM platforms, ticketing systems, and asset management tools.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless networking, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, patch validation, device compliance monitoring, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work regularly on-site in office, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, and cleanroom environments and lift or move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, semiconductor, or other highly technical environments.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, automation, scripting, process improvement, conference room technologies, and audiovisual systems.
• CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL Foundation, or HDI certification.
