Trading System Support Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; on-site work required

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Support traders by resolving trading system issues, answering questions, and relaying feature requests.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents, document issues in a ticketing system, and maintain a knowledge base.
• Automate manual support tasks, monitor system components, and analyze logs to improve system stability.
• Collect data, identify patterns, and determine root causes of recurring problems.
• Recommend and implement improvements to support tools and procedures.
• Build tools that identify potential problems before they affect trading operations.

Requirements

• Technical experience with scripting and troubleshooting using PowerShell, Python, SQL, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and basic networking fundamentals.
• Interest in electronic trading or finance and willingness to support traders in a production environment.
• Ability to work on call and cover alternate shifts when necessary.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting third-party software or proprietary trading systems.
