TL;DR
Technical Operations Specialist (AI-enabled military logistics software): Testing and deploying mission-critical software and hardware for military users, with an accent on QA workflows, field support, user training, and operational feedback. Focus on validating end-to-end scenarios, troubleshooting systems in high-stakes environments, preparing deployment packages, and translating field observations into product improvements.

Location: Remote role with availability to work onsite in Rosslyn, VA; field travel to customer sites, military bases, exercises, and events may be required.

Estimated base salary: $110K–$150K based on experience, plus equity and potential sign-on bonus.

hirify.global is a defense technology startup building TyrOS, an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform for military logistics and sustainment.

What you will do

  • Validate software releases and test end-to-end workflows across Rune products.
  • Identify bugs, workflow gaps, confusing behavior, and training issues, and communicate their operational impact.
  • Prepare software, hardware, documentation, and training packages for customer deployments.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and update deployed systems in field environments.
  • Develop training materials and train military users in virtual, classroom, and field settings.
  • Capture user feedback and maintain deployment runbooks and troubleshooting knowledge bases.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of hands-on technical experience in help desk, field service, systems administration, military signal, automation, or logistics roles.
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance required.
  • Availability to work onsite in Rosslyn, Virginia required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows, Linux, command-line navigation, networking, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP addresses, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, communication skills, and willingness to teach technical products to military and non-technical users.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stakes environments with a strong focus on execution and delivery.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree.
  • Experience with military logistics, sustainment operations, maintenance workflows, or reporting systems.
  • Experience training military personnel on systems, equipment, or procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting computers, radios, networks, software, printers, servers, or tactical systems in the field.
  • Familiarity with Linux, logs, databases, basic scripting, or deployment environments.
