Senior Associate, PX, GWE, Facilities EHS, Torrey Heights

Location: On premise in San Diego, California, United States. Day shift with occasional after-hours or weekend onsite response for facility incidents, emergencies, shutdowns, and project execution. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $82,700–$137,900, plus eligibility for a 10% bonus target.

What you will do

• Contribute to moderately complex facilities, environmental health and safety, security, and operational projects.
• Support monitoring of global incidents and assess their potential impact on the organization.
• Respond onsite to facility incidents, business continuity events, emergencies, planned maintenance shutdowns, and capital or expense projects.
• Use technology, industry practices, and established policies to resolve problems and improve services.
• Work across laboratories, vivarium areas, mechanical and electrical rooms, utility plants, maintenance shops, shipping and receiving, and service corridors.

Requirements

• BA/BS with 2+ years of experience, MBA/MS with relevant experience, an associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in security, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective teamwork.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States by any employer is required.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in areas requiring personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems or enterprise asset management programs.
• Experience with EHS management systems and managing multiple priorities or projects.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, including responsible AI and risk-management practices.
