Data Engineer (Python) - Remote USA

Location: Remote within the United States only; the candidate must reside in the United States, be authorized to work there, and perform all work from the United States. Foreign access and personal VPN connections are prohibited.

Salary: $81,499.00–$167,644.00 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows using Python, SQL, Databricks, and cloud technologies.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL database objects, queries, data models, and data-access patterns.
• Build DataConnect reporting integrations with AWS QuickSight and Databricks.
• Develop REST API services and reusable components for secure data access and system integration.
• Create data-quality checks, validation jobs, monitoring, alerts, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, senior engineers, and DevOps on testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, deployment, security, and Agile delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of software development or data engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience developing data pipelines or data-processing solutions with SQL and Python or a comparable language.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL experience and strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and version-controlled development workflows.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must reside in the United States, have authorization to work in the United States, and have lived there for three full years out of the last five years.

Nice to have

• Databricks, Spark, Airflow, AWS data services, or similar data pipeline and orchestration experience.
• AWS QuickSight datasets, dashboards, or reporting integration experience.
• REST API development, TypeScript, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Terraform experience.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage, secure data sharing, Agile, or test-driven development.
