Branch Operations Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: United States; work is performed at Smiths locations, including offices, manufacturing plants, repair facilities, and potentially customer sites.

What you will do

• Supervise shop operations across shipping, receiving, seal repair, assembly, procurement, and machining.
• Manage, train, interview, hire, and evaluate employees, including recommendations on promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Own profit and loss accountability for the assigned branch or shop.
• Handle customer inquiries about pricing, quotations, part identification, applications, delivery dates, change orders, and seal repair services.
• Approve vendor part orders, price orders, expedite customer orders, and coordinate parts and accessories.
• Oversee inventory control, warehouse fulfillment, receiving, packing, and supply chain activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in operations and distribution.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of machining and integrated business and manufacturing systems involving MRP.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work across office, shop, warehouse, and manufacturing areas, lift up to 60 pounds, and comply with EHS and PPE requirements.
