Associate Manager, Production Planning (Manufacturing)

Location: Camden, Arkansas, United States. Onsite role at a manufacturing facility; occasional travel of up to 20% to company sites or supplier locations may be required.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily and weekly inventory activities, material allocation, and resource planning to meet production goals.
• Monitor purchased-material inventory and ensure supplies are delivered to Operations when needed.
• Lead, train, and evaluate a production planning team while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, scheduling, production, quality control, and logistics teams.
• Analyze inventory and production metrics, identify variances and improvement areas, and prepare performance reports.
• Ensure production activities follow company policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating resources, inventory, production schedules, and cross-functional operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet production deadlines.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds when required.
• Many positions may require the ability to obtain a security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Understanding of manufacturing, assembly, and test operations and customer or program needs.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Oracle, including scheduling and capacity planning.
• APICS certification.
• Experience as a hands-on leader and in cross-functional environments with minimal direct supervision.
• Experience leading initiatives related to safety, diversity, ethical behavior, employee engagement, and career development.
