Project Manager (Material Handling)

Location: Hybrid role based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States, with 35%+ travel within the United States

Base pay: $65,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Direct project teams by assigning responsibilities, tasks, and technical functions.
• Identify project risks and develop actionable mitigation strategies.
• Analyze project profitability, forecast monthly costs for revenue recognition, and support timely, accurate invoicing.
• Develop detailed schedules covering engineering, installation, integration, and dependencies on owners and general contractors.
• Lead pre-sales project management practices, solution development, proposal preparation, estimates, and high-level schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in the material-handling industry.
• Strong project management background with team leadership and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria and demonstration methods.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and customer business-case validation.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office and MS Projects.
