Construction Project Manager, K-12 & Government

Location: Based in Metro Detroit; candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. Travel up to 20% throughout the Midwest United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 base salary annually.

What you will do

• Lead construction and capital improvement projects from planning and procurement through construction and occupancy.
• Procure and manage architects, engineers, contractors, and specialty consultants.
• Coordinate project teams around scope, budget, schedule, quality, and performance expectations.
• Build relationships with school district leaders, government stakeholders, and client teams.
• Facilitate decision-making and help clients navigate complex project challenges.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, risks, key performance indicators, compliance, and project communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in construction, architecture, engineering, owner’s representation, or project management.
• Experience managing building design and construction projects from planning through completion.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Residence within reasonable commuting distance of Metro Detroit and U.S. work authorization without sponsorship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with K-12, higher education, municipal, government, or other public-sector projects.
• Experience representing project owners or working in a consulting environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, BIM, or related project management technologies.
