Lead Commercial Training Specialist (Plasma/Waterjet)

Location: OMAX in Kent, Washington, United States. Onsite leadership is required; travel is minimal and as necessary.

Base pay: $90,901–$151,503 annually.

What you will do

• Lead commercial training projects, set instructional direction, engage subject matter experts, and manage stakeholders, plans, deadlines, risks, and communications.
• Design and deliver advanced technical training, including custom and hands-on instruction in CAD/CAM software programming, safety, operation, optimization, and maintenance.
• Review and improve training content using approved AI tools, best practices, and final technical validation.
• Coach trainers, lead onboarding and development, resolve complex technical questions, and reinforce delivery standards.
• Maintain training-facility readiness, including equipment availability, calibration, safety, organization, issue escalation, and new equipment planning.
• Assess learning needs, improve programs and facilitation, support annual planning, and lead global training initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of training-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience independently managing complex cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing others through direct or indirect leadership.
• Training content development, facilitation, presentation skills, and a strong understanding of adult-learning principles.
• Advanced organizational and project-management skills, initiative, and independence.
• Expert-level knowledge of applicable plasma or waterjet technologies and products, including software, safety, operation, and maintenance; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and approved AI tools.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Hypertherm operating systems, processes, go-to-market strategies, and business models.
