Software Development Engineer, Network Monitoring and Remediation (AWS)

What you will do

• Build software that monitors a large-scale cloud network across the organization.
• Develop near-real-time probing, telemetry processing, and triangulation infrastructure.
• Create systems that detect, diagnose, and automatically remediate network impairments.
• Design scalable and reliable solutions by working directly with customers and partner engineering teams.
• Launch, operate, support, and continuously improve production software.

Requirements

• Professional, non-internship software development experience, including development within the last three years.
• Experience mentoring engineers, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Experience leading architecture and design for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, with object-oriented design.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including testing and operations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with coding standards, code reviews, source control, and build processes.
