Software Engineer III (Java)

What you will do

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering Managers to define backlogs and guide platform and product evolution.
• Design and deliver complex features and services using agile methodologies.
• Develop secure, performant, reliable, and well-tested software.
• Mentor and coach peers and junior engineers in system design, code quality, and delivery practices.
• Define and improve engineering processes, standards, testing tools, and continuous delivery practices.
• Work hands-on with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience with core Java.
• Experience with industry design patterns, complex feature or service design, and agile practices including Scrum, TDD, and pair programming.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, JUnit, Karate, TestCafe, JaCoCo, and SonarQube.
• Working knowledge of Kotlin, Python, and Bash, plus experience creating SOAP and REST web services.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, facilitation, and software delivery skills.
• Hands-on experience writing code and improving continuous software delivery processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience applying AI and data-driven insights to improve productivity and engineering outcomes.
