Senior Software Engineer - Framework (Medical Technology): Designing and developing reusable frameworks, libraries, and shared software components for connected cardiac-care technologies with an accent on scalability, maintainability, software quality, and regulatory compliance. Focus on technical leadership, architecture and design reviews, mentoring engineers, and solving complex challenges across Agile, test-driven, and cross-functional development.
Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland
Salary: €65,600–€98,400 per year, plus eligibility for the Incentive Plan.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and test software solutions for medical technologies in accordance with development standards and best practices.
- Design and implement reusable frameworks, libraries, components, and engineering patterns that accelerate product development.
- Collaborate with product engineers, architects, developers, test engineers, and global stakeholders from concept through release.
- Review requirements, architectures, designs, code, and other engineering artifacts to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to software engineers.
- Drive improvements in development processes, quality practices, performance, and engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 4 years of relevant software engineering experience, or an advanced degree with 2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience developing frameworks, reusable libraries, platforms, or shared software components.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following: JavaScript, HTML, C#, .NET MAUI, or iPadOS.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development, application architecture, design patterns, and reusable component development.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, leadership, and mentoring skills.

- Experience developing software in regulated or quality-focused industries such as medical devices, healthcare, automotive, or aerospace.
