Systems Engineer II (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform requirements engineering, systems integration, verification and validation, and model-based systems engineering.
• Conduct system and decision analysis, technical planning, and technical risk management.
• Lead smaller project tasks and support larger project components.
• Contribute to architecture and design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and project contributors to develop engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools and practical knowledge of multiple engineering principles.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation and allocation, systems design, integration, technical risk management, and V&V principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, or other requirements management and system modeling tools.
• INCOSE ASEP experience or certification.
• Experience with baseline maturation, trade studies, technical performance measurements, or Agile methodologies.
