Nurse Director, Hospital - Maternal Child Health

Location: Los Angeles, CA; onsite. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $222,000–$257,000 per year plus an annual bonus of up to 15%.

What you will do

• Lead nursing operations across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum/Mother-Baby, and Level II or higher NICU services.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and best practices to improve patient outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and staff while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage staffing, operational resources, departmental budgets, and performance metrics.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, strategic projects, safety audits, incident investigations, risk management, and corrective actions.
• Support emergency preparedness and effective 24/7 clinical operations while ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing and Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• At least 7 years of patient care delivery experience and at least 7 years of healthcare operations, clinical healthcare, or related experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing operational or project budgets and at least 2 years of leadership experience with direct reports.
• Active California Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
• Director-level leadership experience with Labor & Delivery, Postpartum/Mother-Baby, and Level II or higher NICU experience.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, plus Magnet experience.

Nice to have

• NE-BC or NEA-BC certification.
• Experience leading clinical quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
