OCI Security Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists South Jordan / Draper, Utah.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across OCI, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks.
• Manage OCI identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance, and security incident response programs.
• Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute through code and design reviews, documentation, troubleshooting, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States for this remote position.
• New H-1B visa sponsorship is not available; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates may apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of cloud security experience with strong hands-on OCI experience.
• Deep knowledge of OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Experience with vulnerability management, regulatory frameworks, SIEM integration, Python, Bash, and Terraform.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures.
• Familiarity with SOAR platforms, automated incident response, and zero-trust architecture patterns.
