Undergraduate UX/UI Design Intern (Safety & Industrial)

Location: On-site at least four days per week at hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. May include up to 10% domestic travel.

What you will do

• Contribute to UX and UI design for digital tools and software used in industrial and safety applications.
• Apply user-centered design methods with support from UX Designers and Design Researchers.
• Assist with user research, synthesize findings, and translate insights into design recommendations.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation.
• Participate in design critiques, workshops, and cross-functional project discussions.
• Apply digital and brand guidelines to maintain clarity and consistency across experiences.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Experience using Figma.
• Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to explain design thinking and design decisions to stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, curious, and willing to learn through feedback and mentorship.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Coursework or experience in UX/UI, graphic, brand, industrial, product, or digital experience design.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Miro, SolidWorks, Sketchbook Pro, or similar design software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
