Staff Product Manager (AI)

Location: Sam's Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; salary information is also provided for San Bruno, California.

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 annually in Bentonville; $143,000–$286,000 annually in San Bruno, plus performance-based bonuses where applicable.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, backlog, and execution for associate-facing Member’s Mark Community products and operational capabilities.
• Build scalable tools, workflows, automations, integrations, and internal platforms for community operations, research, insights, co-creation, and product development.
• Partner with research, merchandising, product development, engineering, design, analytics, operations, and enterprise platform teams.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights, customer research, and workflow discovery to prioritize investments and measure impact.
• Lead discovery-to-delivery execution using Agile, iterative, and data-informed product development practices.
• Evaluate existing Walmart, third-party, and emerging AI-enabled technologies to improve research, insights, workflow automation, personalization, analytics, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area and 7 years of product management experience; or Option 2: 9 years of product management or related experience.
• Experience leading complex product initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
• Strong product strategy, roadmap ownership, execution management, stakeholder management, communication, and storytelling skills.
• Experience building internal platforms, workflow systems, operational tools, enterprise products, or cross-functional platform capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with strong systems thinking and process optimization skills.
• Experience with data, customer insights, research, Agile methodologies, MVP development, and iterative delivery.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related area.
• Experience as a product manager working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
• Experience with platform ecosystems, integrations, APIs, enterprise systems, retail, consumer products, community, insights, or research platforms.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
