TL;DR

VP, Software Engineering Lead (.NET/AWS) (.NET/AWS): Building and modernizing cloud-native enterprise applications, REST APIs, and distributed services on AWS with an accent on scalability, resiliency, security, and observability. Focus on hands-on production coding, designing high-availability systems, modernizing legacy applications, and providing technical leadership across engineering and delivery teams.

Location: New York, United States

Pay range: $170,800–$284,600 per year

What you will do

Design, develop, enhance, modernize, and optimize cloud-native .NET applications running on AWS.
Design and implement RESTful APIs, web services, and distributed application components.
Build application resiliency, scalability, performance, security, and observability.
Contribute production-quality code across architecture, design, testing, deployment, code review, and production support.
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, Release Management, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring while supporting planning, estimation, documentation, metrics, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

At least 10 years of professional software development experience with enterprise web applications, APIs, and distributed systems using the .NET technology stack.
At least 5 years as a Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Software Engineering Lead delivering complex software solutions.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.
Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, and Angular.
Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD, Agile delivery, automated testing, deployment, and release management.
Work location: New York, United States.

Nice to have

Experience with AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, customer-facing applications, or workflow-driven applications.
Experience with TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
Experience modernizing legacy applications and working in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
