Environmental Construction Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote within the United States, based from the Denver, Colorado area; travel required up to 70%.

Salary: $115,000–$136,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Manage daily construction activities for assigned solar, wind, and storage projects, including schedules, budgets, quality, and progress reporting.
• Connect construction site teams, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and the Environmental department.
• Oversee implementation of SWPPP requirements, biological clearance protocols, environmental permits, and regulatory conditions in the field.
• Lead pre-construction reviews and coordinate responses to stormwater, spill, habitat, wetland, and species-protection issues.
• Conduct field inspections, recommend corrective actions, and review contractor and consultant deliverables.
• Administer corporate construction and environmental policies and standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of environmental construction or construction management experience in the wind or solar energy industry.
• At least 2 years managing environmental compliance programs or scopes, including vendor and contractor coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of renewable energy construction practices, SWPPP implementation, biological clearance requirements, and hazardous materials handling.
• Strong scheduling, budget management, technical, organizational, communication, and field problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 70%; visa or employment authorization sponsorship is not available.
