Fullstack Engineer (Digital Identity)

Location: Fully remote within the United States. Candidates must be based in the U.S. or willing to relocate without visa assistance; TN status may be considered.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus possible performance-based bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build full-stack features and production-ready systems for state governments and public-sector partners.
• Develop backend services and web applications that meet security, privacy, and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with delivery leads, engineers, UX designers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to codebases spanning backend, mobile, and browser environments.
• Participate in customer deployments and the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Work with open identity standards and privacy-focused engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; recent graduates are welcome.
• Foundational backend development experience in a statically typed language such as Rust, Go, C#, or Java.
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively.
• Strong communication skills and interest in working with customers and stakeholders.
• Appreciation for open-source software, clean code, and thoughtful engineering.
• U.S. location or willingness to relocate without visa assistance required.

Nice to have

• Full-stack internship or project experience.
• Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Interest in digital identity, cryptography, data privacy, or security.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST, GraphQL, or CI/CD.
• Experience with open-source projects, hackathons, accessibility, civic tech, or high-compliance environments.
